Questions people actually ask

Does this tell me whether I'm breaking the law?
No, and any product that claims to is overselling. Provendly reports what your pages did at the network level, with timestamps. Whether a given law applies to you, and whether your conduct complies with it, depends on facts we do not measure - your revenue, your markets, your contracts, your notices. That is your lawyer’s work. What we give them is the factual record they would otherwise have to reconstruct.
Why does the daily record matter more than a one-off audit?
Because the question you get asked is not “what does your site do now”, it is “what was your site doing on 14 March”. An audit answers the first. A dated, tamper-evident series answers the second, and lets you show that something changed and when.
How is the record tamper-evident?
Each scan is serialised into a canonical form, hashed, and chained to the previous scan’s hash. Altering any record changes its hash and breaks every link after it. Chain heads are anchored daily, so the whole chain cannot simply be rebuilt either. Anyone can verify it with a SHA-256 implementation and the instructions printed in the Evidence Pack - no access to us required.
Will scanning my site break anything or skew my analytics?
We load your public pages the way a visitor would, a small number of times per day, from a consistent user agent that identifies itself. That is a handful of extra sessions in your analytics - filterable if it bothers you, and negligible against real traffic.
Can I use this for my clients?
Yes - that is what the Agency plan is for. Sites, team seats and per-site alert routing are all first-class, so you can give a client’s contact read access to their own site’s record without exposing the rest of your portfolio.
